Our Children's Ministries staff desire to partner with you as a parent to assist in the disciple-making process with your child. We offer a wide variety of classes and programs for your child each week. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of warmth and love that will make your child excited about coming to church. Our prayer is that Christ will become a part of your child's everyday life. NURSERY Nursery Care: Our Honey Bee Nursery is open to serve you and your child ages birth through 24 months during each of our weekend services. Check out some helpful tips to better prepare for your baby's first visit Nursery Tips and Guidelines LOCATION The nursery is located in Building B, Room B111 on the Northeast corner of the campus. DROPPING OFF AND REGISTERING YOUR CHILD Upon your first visit, please fill out the Honey Bee enrollment form carefully; including instructions, allergies, feeding time etc. Sign your child in on the attendance sheet. You will be given a pager that will vibrate lightly if you are needed in the nursery. PICKING UP YOUR CHILD Bring your pager back to the nursery when you pick up your child. The pager is your claim check. Children are not released with out their corresponding pager. Young siblings are not allowed to pick up babies. NURSING MOTHERS Please use our Nursing Mother's Room to nurse your baby. It is located adjacent to the Nursery. DIAPER BAGS AND PERSONAL ITEMS Pacifiers must be attached to your child's clothing. Please have your bottles labeled and prepared for the teacher to use. Diapers, wipes and powder are all provided in our nursery. A Nursery Supervisor will change your little one's messy diaper if necessary. THIS IS A WELL-CHILD NURSERY If your child has had a fever, yellow or green runny nose, diarrhea, pink or goopy eyes, or vomiting in the past 24 hours, please keep your child with you during service. If we have questions regarding your child's health, we will page you. MEDICATIONS We are NOT ALLOWED to give or apply any type of medication. If your child needs medication, a parent must administer it. For safety, please do not keep any medication in your diaper bag. PRESCHOOL Preschool: Our Safari Land Preschool program is for your child ages 2 years old through Kindergarten during each of our week-end services. Their class assignment is based on their birthday. Please see the WHERE DO I TAKE MY KIDS? pamphlet located on the sidewalk signs on campus, or at the Guest Services desk in the lobby of the auditorium. ELEMENTARY Elementary: Classes are offered for grades 1 through 5 at all weekend services. Locations of elementary classes change according to which service you might attend. DISCOVERY CLUB Discovery Club is our discipleship program for children age 3 through 5th grade. It is on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM from September through May. More details are available here. DISCOVERY CLUB What: A fun program to help kids grow in their relationship with Jesus. When: Tuesday Evenings September through May Time: 6:30 p. m. to 8:15 p.m. Who: 3 year olds through 5th Grade Where: Preschool-Building A 1st & 2nd Grade-Kids Chapel 3rd-5th Grade-Youth Room B201 What are Skill Sessions? Skill Sessions are classes taught by people who both love Jesus and desire to share with children a specific skill or talent. The skill leader's goal is to disciple children through intentional relationships formed during the class time. Students really enjoy these fun classes where they learn a skill or hobby and also get to know some great people who really care about them. These classes are available for students in 1st through 5th grade. What is Breakout? Breakout is a program designed to move children in the direction of spiritual growth and maturity through building relationships. It uses a four part curriculum that will help them to Know Christ, Grow in Christ, Serve Christ and Share Christ with those they come in contact with. Breakout is a program for 3rd grade through 5th grade students. Students will begin with the first year curriculum whenever they enter the program. After the end of the curriculum the students are invited to participate in an outreach or mission oriented project. LITTLE LIGHT PRESCHOOL Little Light Preschool is a weekday kindergarten readiness program for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. Little Light Preschool runs from September to May. There is a registration and a monthly fee. Registration for the Fall programs begins in January. Contact the church office for more information 360.659.2844.
