High School

High School (grades 9-12)

Our Student Ministries are a critical part of the life of Smokey Point Community Church. We place a high priority on our student ministries not only because our students are the future leaders for the body of Christ in the coming decades, but also because their impact right now on the Kingdom of God can be awesome!

Students are at a critical place in life. Opportunities are many and choices have far-reaching consequences. Our desire is to meet each student at their point of need and encourage them toward dependence upon Jesus Christ to meet that need.

We believe that students are capable of big things. We will provide ministry training for them and help them catch the vision for all that God can do through them to impact the world. Our strategy to accomplish this is through prayer, relationships and some serious fun. Our programs are designed to provide an environment for discipleship to take place.

WEEKEND OPTIONS

Weekend Services

High School students are encouraged to participate in one of the all-church weekend services.

Balance
Balance is our Sr. High discipleship training program which meets October through May on Sunday mornings at 10:45 in B201. It is designed for believers who are willing to be challenged to put their faith into action. Here, students will be asked to study one portion of what it means to become like Jesus on their own during the week and come ready to discuss it. They are also held accountable to incorporate what they learn into their lives. Balance requires a commitment to faithfulness and provides an opportunity to be trained for ministry. For Balance and our outreach ministries we separate Junior and Senior high school.

If you have not done Balance and want to be challenged in your faith, now is a good time to give it a try. (no commitment required for the first two weeks!)

Pre-registration is required.

MIDWEEK OPTIONS

Life Groups

Life Groups are the foundation of our High School ministry.  We meet as small groups from 7-8:30pm on Wednesdays in comfortable homes around the area.  Every six weeks or so all Life Groups meet together at the church for a great combined worship time called "Audience of One".

If you are a High School student you need this time to learn from other students as we; talk about the challenges being a Christian student brings, pray for each other, look into the Bible together (by discussion, not lecture), laugh together, and enjoy life together.  We also need you!  God wants to use what He is doing in your life to encourage and challenge others in our Life Groups.  He can't if you aren't there!

To get started in a Life Group find the group you belong to from the list below.  If you have any questions, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or the church office (360) 659-2844.
