At Smokey Point Community Church, we are excited about overseas missions. We love to partner with churches in other parts of the world to spread the good news about Jesus to people who have never heard of him before. Supporting Missionaries We give money to the C&MA Great Commission Fund which pays the salaries of C&MA missionaries all over the world. The C&MA is unique in that it's missionaries to not need to raise their own support; rather, they are supported financially through the giving of churches to this fund. Short Term Mission Teams We keep a fairly steady stream of short term mission teams going out into selected fields where we partner with other C&MA churches to work on a variety of projects. Some of these include training other church leaders, holding discipleship or evangelistic events, construction projects and more. Some of our current fields are located in the Philippines, Russia, and China. Missions at Home We also support several ministry organizations here in the U.S. and in our local community. |
