Summer Sermon Series Voting
THE POLLS ARE NOW CLOSED.
Because of some changes to our summer schedule (we'll be having some missionaries sharing with us in July) we had to choose eight instead of ten topics. Here are the topics we'll be looking at this summer in the order of votes received. (The actual order that we'll get to them throughout the summer will be different.)
June 28/29 How Do We Worship...Biblically?
What does the Bible say worship looks like on a day-to-day relationship with God and others, and more specifically, what does it look like in God's sanctuary as a body of believers. There are so many different styles of worship, but how are we to know what's appropriate, i.e. clapping, raising hands, "amen's", etc?
July 5/6 What Will Heaven Be Like?
What happens when we die? What will heaven be like?
July 12/13 Can I Trust the Bible?
How do we know the Bible is true and is the Word of God?
August 2/3 Can I Lose My Salvation?
If my dad was truly a Christian and he walked away from God, is he still saved? If not, how do we know we are saved if we can lose our salvation?
August 9/10 How Do I Restore Broken Relationships?
How are we to reconcile with people who we feel have wronged us or vise versa?
August 16/17 If God is in Control, Why Pray?
If I have been chosen by God, that implies that others aren't chosen. Yet we are told that God wants all of us to make the choice to love Him and have eternal life. If He hasn't chosen my adult son, whose heart seems hardened against that choice, and I pray for his deliverance all of my life--is it about MY obeying to pray, or is it about God changing His mind because I pray?
August 23/24 What is the Role of Church Leadership?
How are we to respect the decisions of the elders and pastors in a church? What should our interaction and response to our leaders look like?
August 30/31 Can I Be the Judge?
Judging, judgmental, having an opinion...what's the difference?
