Bryan's Blog
Description:
I'm one of the pastors here at Smokey Point Community Church and they allow me to have the responsibility and privilege of overseeing budgets, buildings, publications, communication, "other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor," planning, office staff, maintenance staff, and some other stuff. Of course, this does not mean that the leadership team (or you) agree with everything I post here. It's just my opinion. So consider yourself warned! ;-)

Missions and Being Missional

Posted by Bryan in missions

One of our Governing Board members sent me this link today. In it, the article refers to the need to move our thinking about missions from something we do in sending teams and money to places around the world (where it IS needed) to also include thinking "missoinally" about our local communities.

Mission Reflections

Posted by Bryan in missionsMinistry

With Missions Emphasis Week just around the corner, I've been plowing along trying to get everthing ready. There is a lot to do, and this is reflective of the substantial chunk of missions work we do here.
