I've spent some time this week getting ready for the annual meeting this weekend. In doing so, there are some interesting statistics that lead me to want to say thank you to almost two hundred homes.

Ok, this is just plain kooky. A friend of mine purchased a used vehicle about six months ago. It's been working great until today...the day before his wife has a medical procedure early tomorrow morning. To top it off, their heater stopped working in their home within the hour of the car not starting...

With Missions Emphasis Week just around the corner, I've been plowing along trying to get everthing ready. There is a lot to do, and this is reflective of the substantial chunk of missions work we do here.

Having turned 37 last month, and doing a little math on (1) what my age will be when my kids graduate from High School (47 for the oldest and 55 for the youngest) and (2) the fact that when my parents were my age I was 15, I began to sense a bit of dispair coming. But God graciously sent me some encouragement...
