After writing what I did last night, I awoke to read these short thoughts by John Piper on the Desiring God website .

In Romans chapter 7, Paul talks about the division he feels in himself as a Christian. At one point he says (vv 22-23), "For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members."

I read a short chapter from Preaching the Cross last night. In it, one of the authors (R.C. Sproul) talks about the misunderstanding we have of the idea that faith alone saves us. It is an important misunderstanding to be mindful of, especially in our convenient American Christianity.

I am taking a bit of a risk here in puting this video up. So other than the disclaimer that is on the top of my blog (click on my name on the left of the page to see it), here is another one. I am not siding with any particular party or even a particular position on the war.

This one is definitely on the lighter side from my recent posts. Sometimes it is good to simply watch something astounding...even if it is trivial.
